I was born and raised in Lexington and Nicholasville, Kentucky, and grew up in a real estate and construction sales family. I learned all facets of real estate, sales, and building construction. 

 

My real estate career began in 1993 when I became a licensed realtor, working mainly with first-time buyers. I attended the University of Kentucky, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Management in 1997. 

 

I worked in healthcare finance management for most of my professional career including service at Appalachian Regional Healthcare, University of Kentucky Medical Center and Baptist Health Lexington. My job titles included being a Corporate Manager, Financial Analyst, Business Manager, Human Resources Manager and Compliance Officer. 

I began building in 2002 while also working in the health care industry. Initially, I built my personal home, but also built homes for others. After retiring from healthcare, I was mentored for two years under another luxury home builder. This gave me the skills and knowledge to start Cornerstone Homes LLC in 2017.

 

Although I prefer the coziness a ranch-style home offers, we build a variety of plans. All Cornerstone homes are built with luxury features to give every client the home of their dreams. Quality is critical to Cornerstone, so you'll typically find me on the job supervising construction.

 

I have built homes in some of the most desirable developments in the area, including Parker Lane Estates, Holloway Estates, Meadow Ridge Estates, Equestrian Estates, Carrick Pike Estates, Pemberley Cove, The Reserve at Chrisman Mill, East Cambridge Estates, The Backstretch, McCauley Estates, Jewell Point, Watkins Reserve, Halfhill Estates, and Mariana Farms.

 

At Cornerstone, we have a Draftsman as part of our team and support staff to help with selections. I am a Registered Custom Builder with the local Building Industry Association and offer a written warranty thru the BIA of Central Kentucky.

I would love to build the home of your dreams and have developed Cornerstone with a foundation of faith, honesty, and transparency. All of my former clients, who I consider friends, will attest to that. What separates me from other builders is my clients pay actual builder invoices throughout the process, giving them significant discounts.

 

I complete an in-depth financial budget of expected costs that are built on formulas from recent projects. This budget is delivered at contract signing and before construction. Owners receive invoices and records of every item to be purchased. Typically, the buyer saves when paying actual costs, and it covers the set fee charged by Cornerstone to build their home.

 

I consider owners as part of my team, and we work together to get to move-in day. I enjoy seeing the excitement with everyone involved in building Cornerstone luxury homes on time and within budget.
